A Compliant Line for Sensitive Goods: Which Categories Can Ship

A compliant line does not mean every restricted item moves. Category by category — what can ship, what needs case-by-case checks, what cannot move at all.

"Compliant line" does not mean "everything goes"

This is the first thing to say clearly, because the phrase invites exactly the wrong assumption. A compliant line means a documented, properly declared route for categories that can be shipped under conditions. It does not create permission where none exists.

The rule has not changed: declared accurately or not at all.

The category split, honestly

Three groups, not two. Sellers often expect "can ship" and "cannot", and the middle group is where the mistakes happen.

Group Categories What happens
Usually prohibited Flammable, compressed gas, blades, live plants and animals, tobacco and alcohol Not shippable, regardless of channel
Restricted, sometimes possible Battery-containing products, liquids, powders and pastes Case-by-case confirmation required
Generally fine Ordinary goods Standard channels apply

The middle group is where almost every seized parcel comes from. Not because the rules are secret, but because sellers assume "sensitive goods line" means the restrictions have been lifted for them personally.

What the restricted middle group actually requires

Battery-containing products — power banks, lithium batteries, power tools. Some channels can carry these with reinforcement. What "reinforcement" means depends on the item and the channel, and this has to be confirmed before you buy, not after it arrives.

Liquids — perfume, serums, oils, larger bottles of wash products. There are per-item volume limits and leak-proof packing requirements. We are not going to quote the specific volume figure here, because it varies and you need the number for your actual item rather than a general one.

Powders and pastes — loose powder, creams, mascara. Channel restrictions here are the most common of the three.

The general frame for all three: possible, conditional, and never self-declared.

Question Why it matters
Which channel would it go on? Different channels allow different things
What packing does it need? Determines whether it can be accepted at all
Is there a volume or weight limit? Affects whether consolidation is possible
Can it sit with general goods? Determines whether your other parcels are at risk

Why consolidation makes this more dangerous

If you consolidate a compliant parcel with a restricted one and the box is refused, the compliant goods packed beside it are affected too. That is how a small mistake on one item damages an otherwise clean shipment.

This is the single most useful thing to understand about restricted goods in consolidation. Sort them out first, then consolidate the clean ones.

What happens if you get it wrong

Being specific about this because the cost is not symmetric.

Outcome What it means for you
Parcel refused Destroyed
Freight Not refunded
If mis-declared deliberately Beyond a service incident, and not something we will participate in

The second row is the one people do not expect. Freight is not recoverable on a seized parcel. That is why we ask for a product link or name before you order, every time, rather than treating it as a formality.

A workable process

Send the product link or a photo plus the product name before you buy. Tell us the destination. Wait for the answer, including whether it can go with your other items or has to travel separately. Then buy.

This adds a day or two to shopping. It is considerably faster than finding out at the border.

What we will tell you

If an item cannot go, we will say so — including when the answer is that it could go on a different channel but not on the one you were planning to use. That information is useful even when it is unwelcome.

FAQ

Q: Which sensitive categories can actually ship? A: Battery-containing products, liquids, powders and pastes are sometimes possible depending on the channel and the item, and each needs confirmation before purchase. Flammable goods, compressed gas, blades, live plants and animals, tobacco and alcohol are generally prohibited on any channel.

Q: Is there a volume limit on liquids? A: Yes, per item, and it varies by channel and product. We do not quote a general figure because you need the number for your actual item — send us the product and we will confirm.

Q: Can I ship a restricted item with my other parcels? A: Do not. If a box containing a restricted item is refused, the compliant goods packed beside it are affected too. Ship restricted items separately.

Q: What happens if my parcel is seized? A: The parcel is destroyed and the freight is not refunded. This is why we ask for a product link before you order rather than treating it as a formality.

Q: Will you help me get a prohibited item through? A: No. Declaring a restricted item as general goods is not something we will assist with. If an item is prohibited, the answer is that it cannot ship.
